Accessibility Statement
Last Updated: June 12, 2026
1. Our Commitment to Accessibility
The Motor Medics Coventry is dedicated to ensuring digital accessibility for all visitors, including people with disabilities. We are continuously improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
We strive to make our website content, structure, and interactive features conform as closely as possible to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards.
2. Core Accessibility Measures
To support accessibility, we have implemented the following design and technical measures:
- Semantic HTML: We use appropriate HTML5 landmark and structure tags (like header, main, section, nav, footer) and heading hierarchies to support screen readers and browser parsers.
- Contrast Ratios: Colors and text layouts are designed to meet standard contrast thresholds to ensure content is legible for visually impaired users.
- Responsive Design: The website is optimized for viewing across various screen dimensions, aspect ratios, and orientations without losing text formatting or navigation capability.
- Descriptive Alt Text: We add detailed text alternatives for all primary image assets and user interface elements, except purely decorative elements that are hidden from assistive tools.
- Keyboard Accessibility: Interactive items such as forms, booking inputs, and buttons are designed to receive keyboard focus and support standard interactive controls.
3. Current Compliance Status
We are working to maintain full compatibility with assistive browsers and technologies. However, due to the inclusion of certain third-party software and embeds, our website may be only partially compliant in some areas.
4. Third-Party Disclaimer
Please note that our website relies on external third-party widgets, libraries, and integrations to provide essential features:
A. Interactive Maps: The workshop location map uses Leaflet/OpenStreetMap. These maps are loaded dynamically and may not be fully keyboard-navigable or accessible to screen readers.
B. Vehicle Lookup API: The VRM checking tool references an external database. If the lookup returns incomplete vehicle profiles, this is beyond our control.
C. Legal Disclaimer: To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, we accept no liability for accessibility shortcomings, navigation barriers, or usability errors that arise directly from third-party libraries, external plugins, or embedded service components.
5. Feedback and Support
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of our website. If you encounter any accessibility barriers or require assistance with any information on this site, please let us know:
