Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: June 12, 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing this website, submitting booking requests, or instructing The Motor Medics Coventry to perform repairs or servicing on your vehicle, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
These terms constitute a binding contract between you (the customer) and us (The Motor Medics Coventry). If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services or website.
2. Bookings, Booked Slots & Cancellations
All booking requests made through our website are subject to validation, availability, and acceptance by our team.
We request that you give us at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your booking. We reserve the right to reschedule or refuse service due to severe weather conditions, workshop capacity, parts delays, or other unforeseen events.
3. Quotes, Estimates & Pricing
Any pricing information, quotes, or estimates provided on our website or over the phone are initial indications based on the information you supply.
- Dynamic Diagnostics: Actual faults can only be verified after visual inspection and hands-on diagnostic tests at our workshop.
- Hidden Faults: If we identify additional issues or find that different parts are required during disassembly, the final price may vary from the original estimate.
- Prior Authorisation: We will always contact you to explain additional findings and obtain your explicit authorization before carrying out any work that exceeds the agreed quote.
4. Customer Responsibilities
As the customer, you are responsible for:
- Providing accurate vehicle details (including VRM) and description of faults.
- Ensuring your vehicle is legally registered, taxed, and free of hazardous materials.
- Removing valuable personal items from the vehicle prior to leaving it in our care.
- Providing clear, safe, and lawful access to your vehicle (including keys and wheel lock nuts).
5. Parts, Warranties & Customer-Supplied Components
We supply high-quality, manufacturer-approved replacement parts. We offer a 12-month or 12,000-mile warranty (whichever comes first) on parts and labour for repairs completed by us, subject to normal vehicle usage.
Important Exclusions:
- The warranty does not cover standard wear-and-tear items (e.g., brake pads, tyres, wiper blades), vehicle abuse, racing, or subsequent modifications.
- Customer-Supplied Parts: We generally do not fit customer-supplied parts. If we agree to fit components provided by you, we accept absolutely no liability for the failure of those parts, nor do we provide any warranty on the associated labour if the customer-supplied part fails.
6. STRICT LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Please read this section carefully, as it defines the boundaries of our financial and operational liability.
A. Pre-Existing Conditions: We accept no liability for pre-existing vehicle damage, mechanical wear, electrical system failures, or structural defects that exist prior to our work or are unrelated to the specific repair carried out.
B. Indirect Damages: To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, in no event shall The Motor Medics Coventry, its technicians, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of income, loss of business, alternative vehicle hire costs, towing fees, or loss of personal property.
C. Financial Cap: Our total, aggregate liability to you for any claim, damage, or loss arising out of or in connection with our website, booking system, or any service or repair performed by us, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, shall be strictly limited to the total fee paid by you to us for that specific service or repair.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
7. Payment Terms
Payment for diagnostics, servicing, parts, and completed repairs is due immediately upon completion of the work and prior to vehicle release. We accept Cash, Debit/Credit Card, and Bank Transfer. We reserve the right to retain the vehicle (exercising a lien) until full payment is cleared.
8. Website Availability & Accuracy
While we make every effort to ensure our website is available and content is accurate, the site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that the site is free of minor errors, bugs, or temporary inaccuracies.
9. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions, and any disputes or claims arising out of them or our services, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
